Aim : How to Install and Configure Mail Server in Windows Server 2016
Description :
- Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) :
- SMTP is an internet standard for transmission of electronic emails. SMTP services are used to send and receive emails in a secure manner. It’s an email solution if you are sending mails using any script from your website.
Mail Server Installation :
- Step - 1 : Open the server manager dashboard from the task bar. Click on Add roles and features.
- Step - 2 : Click on Next.
- Step - 3 : Select Role-based or Feature-based installation and click Next.
- Step - 4 : Click on Next.
- Step - 5 : Click on Next.
- Step - 6 : Scroll Down the list and select the SMTP Server.
- Step - 7 : Click on Add Features.
- Step - 8 : Click on Next.
- Step - 14 : Control Panel -> All Control Panel Items -> Administrative Tools and Launch IIS 6.0 Manager.
- Step - 15 : Right click on SMTP Virtual Server #1 and select Start.
- Status changed from stop to running.
- Step - 16 : Right click on SMTP Virtual Server #1 and select Properties.
- Step - 17 : Change the IP Address to Server's IP Address.
- Step - 18 : Tap the Access tab and click on the Connection Button.
- Step - 19 : Select Only the list below and click on Add Button.
- Step - 20 : Select the Single Computer enter IP Address and click on OK.
- Access Granted.
- Step - 21 : Tap Delivery tab of the connection window and click on Advanced.
- Step - 22 : Give name and click on OK and click again on OK.
Result :
Mail Server successfully Installed and Configured in Windows Server 2016 and ready for use.
