How to Install and Configure Web Server in Windows Server 2016

Aim : How to Install and Configure Web Server in Windows Server 2016

Description : 

• Internet Information Services (IIS) is a flexible, general purpose Web Server from Microsoft that runs on Windows system to serve requested HTML pages or files.

Web Server Installation :

• Step - 1 : Open the server manager dashboard from the task bar. Click on Add roles and features.

• Step - 2 : Click on Next.

• Step - 3 : Select Role-based or Feature-based installation and click Next.

• Step - 4 : Click on Next.

• Step - 5 : Select Web Server IIS role and Click on Add Features.

• Step - 6 : Click on Next.

• Step - 7 : Click on Next.

• Step - 8 : Read some info and then Click on Next.

• Step - 9 : Leave it default and Click on Next.

• Step - 10 : Click on Install.

• Step - 11 : Once installation Done successfully, Click on Close.

Web Server Configuration :

• Step - 12 : Open Server Manager -> Tools -> Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.

• Step - 13 : Expand server name -> expand site -> Right Click -> Click on Add Website.

• Step - 14 : Specify the site and path and type Hostname and Click on OK.

Result :

Web Server successfully Installed and Configured in Windows Server 2016 and ready for use.
